about the role

as a Pastry Commis Chef at Zuma, you’ll work alongside talented chefs to create desserts that delight our guests, while developing your skills in a dynamic and inspiring kitchen. our desserts are crafted with precision and passion, adding the perfect touch to our exceptional dining experience.

what you'll do

• prepare desserts following recipes and senior chefs' instructions, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
• maintain adequate mise en place levels for seamless service, focusing on minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency
• monitor the quality, consistency, appearance, and taste of all food products, delivering excellence in every dish
• conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas, ensuring compliance with Zuma’s rigorous cleanliness and safety standards
• take an active interest in learning other kitchen sections to support team collaboration and adaptability
• maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance to reflect Zuma’s commitment to professionalism
