PASTRY COOK

Hourly | Part-Time | $18.50–$22.00/hr

We’re looking for skilled, detail-oriented Pastry Cooks to join the culinary team at Huntress. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about pastry, thrives in a high-volume kitchen, and takes pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.

What It Takes to Succeed

• Prepare pastries, breads, and other menu items according to recipes and chef direction
• Maintain quality, freshness, proper temperatures, and production levels
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
• Minimize food waste and follow proper preparation and storage procedures
• Communicate effectively with chefs and work collaboratively with the culinary team
• Assist with daily kitchen setup, production, cleaning, and sanitation

Education & Experience

• 2+ years of restaurant, bakery, or hotel culinary experience preferred
• Knowledge of chocolate, bread baking, and viennoiserie preferred
• San Diego County Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
