Pastry Cook

The Pastry Assistant is responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef with daily duties in the kitchen such as developing and executing of the Pastry Program. It is the Pastry Assistant's responsibility to assist with production and presentation of desserts. In the absence of the Pastry Chef, the Pastry Assistant will oversee the activities within the pastry department.

*Compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
• Strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities
• Background in food handling and service in the food industry
• Experience in a pastry department is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning and fine dining standards
