Pastry Cook | Publique Bakery – New Store

Publique Bakery is looking for a passionate and motivated Pastry Cook to join our team at our new store in Preston.

We welcome experienced candidates, as well as individuals who are passionate about pastry and baking and eager to learn and develop their skills in a professional bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Producing croissants, danishes and other viennoiserie
• Preparing, shaping and baking a variety of pastry products
• Maintaining consistent product quality and presentation
• Assisting with daily production and preparation
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen

Requirements

• Previous experience in pastry, baking or a commercial kitchen is preferred
• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Patisserie, or currently studying towards one, is highly regarded
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
• Legal right to work in Australia

Experience & Education

• At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Patisserie is preferred

Employment Conditions

• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• 6-month probationary period
