What they need
We're a busy café on Cannery Row looking for a dependable early riser to support our morning bake and pastry case.
What you'll do
- Morning bake-off: tray up, egg wash, time, finish (icing, glaze, powdered sugar)
- Prep and assemble sandwiches and grab-and-go items
- Pantry basics: portion, wrap, date, rotate, keep coolers and dry storage organized
What we're looking for
- Some café, bakery, or kitchen experience — you know what egg wash is for, how to finish a pastry, and what "done" looks like in the oven
- Comfortable with convection ovens and following a checklist
- Reliable at 6 AM, every scheduled shift
- Clean, organized, and quick during the morning rush
- California Food Handler card (or willing to get one within 30 days)
- Weekend availability
