Personal Assistant / Support Worker

Hours: Casual – as and when required to cover Holidays / Sickness

ROP: £13.45 per hour

Personal Assistant / Support Worker required to work on a casual basis, providing cover for holidays and sickness. The maximum hours you may be required to cover are 17.75hrs per week.

You will provide support to a lady in her own home. You will be part of a small team of Personal Assistants who support the employer with her personal care on a daily basis Monday to Sunday. Hours are flexible – (earliest start 12pm /latest finish 4pm) – to be discussed at interview.

Duties

The employer lives with a mobility impairment, Epilepsy and other health issues. She requires support with personal care including showering / hair washing, application of creams, continence care, dressing, medication, meal preparation & bed changing.

Experience / Qualifications Required Experience of support work preferred as well as knowledge of Epilepsy (awareness training required – this can be arranged by the employer if not already in place).

• This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.

Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employers cost.
