We have an immediate need for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Patent Draftsman to support our Intellectual Property practice. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality patent drawings and illustrations for U.S. and international patent applications, ensuring compliance with USPTO, PCT, and foreign patent office requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare patent drawings for utility, design, and plant patent applications.
• Convert sketches, engineering drawings, CAD files, photographs, and technical disclosures into patent-compliant figures.
• Ensure compliance with USPTO, PCT, EPO, and other patent-office standards.
• Review drawing requirements and maintain adherence to all client guidelines and specifications.
• Create mechanical, software, electrical, and process-flow illustrations.
• Coordinate with attorneys, patent agents, and inventors.
• Manage multiple projects and filing deadlines.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of drafting, technical illustration, or patent drawing experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Visio, or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits: Brownstein offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition, this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering a salary range for this role from $60,000-$90,000.
