We are a well-established Intellectual Property consultancy with a network of offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam and we are currently seeking capable and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team at our Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Patent and Industrial Design practice.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Candidate must be proficient in written and spoken English.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hardworking, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses good work ethics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To handle Patent / Design enquiries from clients.
• To handle Patent / Design prosecution matters including the following:

a)    Handle Request for Substantive Examination matters.

b)    Handle Patent/Design Formalities matters, objections.

c)    Handle Preliminary Examination matters.

d)    Review of Patent/Design Specification.

e)    Making necessary amendments to Patent/Design specification in compliance to Patent Acts 1983.

f)     Provide pre-filing advice to client for new inventions inclusive of conducting Patent search/Design Search and drafting of Patent/Design Specifications.

• Any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
