LATERO – TRUCKS & HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Job Summary:

• Responsible for repairing, restoring, and conditioning the body and structural components of trucks, heavy equipment, and other automotive units.
• Ensures that body repair works are properly completed based on approved Job Orders and company quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess damaged body panels and structural components of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform body repair, dent removal, panel straightening, and restoration works.
• Repair and replace damaged body panels, doors, bumpers, fenders, and other body components.
• Perform cutting, welding, grinding, and fabrication of metal components when required.
• Straighten and align vehicle bodies and panels to restore proper shape and appearance.
• Prepare repaired surfaces for body filler, primer, and painting.
• Perform body conditioning and restoration of newly arrived units.
• Follow and execute all approved Job Orders related to body repair and conditioning.
• Coordinate with mechanics, auto electricians, automotive painters, and other production staff during unit restoration.
• Conduct quality checking of completed body repair works and ensure proper fit and alignment of components.
• Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other workshop equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Report additional body repair requirements or major damages to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate; vocational or technical training in Automotive Body Repair, Welding, or related field is an advantage.
• With experience as a Latero, Auto Body Repairman, Bodyman, or similar position.
• With experience working on trucks, heavy equipment, buses, or other large automotive units is preferred.
• Skilled in dent repair, panel straightening, cutting, welding, grinding, and basic fabrication.
• Knowledgeable in automotive body repair and unit conditioning.
• Able to read and follow approved Job Orders and repair instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy and hands-on work.
• Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• Willing to work on-site and perform other duties as required by management.
