Pathologist

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Consultant Pathologist to join our hospital/diagnostic team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate interpretation and validation of pathology investigations, timely reporting, laboratory quality assurance, and supervision of pathology laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and authorize pathology and laboratory reports.
• Perform and interpret Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Cytology, Histopathology, and Biochemistry investigations, as applicable.
• Review abnormal and critical laboratory findings and provide appropriate diagnostic inputs.
• Correlate laboratory findings with relevant clinical information.
• Ensure accurate and timely release of diagnostic reports.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and pathology staff.
• Ensure proper sample collection, processing, storage, and documentation.
• Monitor laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, NABL standards, laboratory safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in IQC/EQAS and other quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate with clinicians and other departments regarding pathology reports and critical findings.
• Monitor laboratory equipment, workflow, and day-to-day operations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection-control and biomedical-waste management protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• MBBS + MD/DNB in Pathology from a recognized institution.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pathology diagnostics and laboratory medicine.
• Experience in Histopathology, Cytology, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology preferred.
• Knowledge of NABL/quality management procedures will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with clinical and laboratory teams.

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
