Pathway Coach

Earth Gardens is looking for a values-led Pathway Coach to join our team in a new permanent part-time role.

This is a varied role combining participant coaching, programme support and working alongside our team to strengthen participant planning and outcomes. You’ll provide focused 1:1 coaching for participants who are ready to work towards specific goals, while supporting Programme Facilitators to connect everyday activities with individual goals and recognise and record meaningful progress.

You’ll also become our internal go-to person for Webcare (our participant database) helping our team use the system confidently and consistently, and provide programme support and cover when needed.

About the role

You’ll work closely with our General Manager and Programme Facilitators to:

• Provide focused 1:1 coaching to help participants identify and progress goals that matter to them
• Support pathways such as greater independence, community participation, volunteering, learning and employment
• Work alongside facilitators to strengthen coaching practice and participant planning
• Help connect everyday activities with individual goals, learning and progress
• Become our Webcare subject matter expert and support good-quality participant records and outcome reporting
• Contribute to programme planning and development
• Step into programme facilitation and participant transport when required
• Support our communications, including social media, newsletters and website content.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong coaching skills and experience and knows how to help people find their own way forward rather than doing things for them
• Can build genuine, respectful relationships with people with a wide range of strengths and support needs
• Has experience in disability, mental health, community development, coaching, social services or a related area
• Is comfortable working both 1:1 and alongside groups
• Can work collaboratively with colleagues and build capability without taking over
• Is confident with digital systems and enjoys helping others use them well
• Communicates and writes clearly
• Understands, or is willing to develop their understanding of, Enabling Good Lives, Te Whare Tapa Whā and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Is flexible, practical, organised and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

You will be required to pass a police check and a Children’s Workers check as part of the selection process, have the right to work in New Zealand and hold a full driver's licence.
