Job Description

Rush Copley Medical Center is seeking a professional and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to support patients throughout the registration and check-in process. This role helps ensure accurate patient information, insurance details, appointments, and billing information while providing a welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner.
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments as needed.
• Collect required patient information and documentation.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorization requirements.
• Explain registration, financial, and payment procedures to patients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Coordinate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams.
• Handle patient questions and direct concerns to the appropriate department.
• Follow hospital policies, privacy standards, and applicable procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare, medical office, registration, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accurate data-entry and computer skills.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
