Patient Care Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets and attends to patients in courteous, polite and professional manner.
• Check patients’ well-being, safety and comfort regularly; promptly respond to patients’ call bell and refer to other nursing staff as needed.
• Attends to patients’ basic comfort such as bed making, hygiene, oral, body and skin care. Positioning and mobilization etc.; promptly reports to assigned State Registered Nurse of any unusual findings.
• Performs pottering role; accompany or transport patients for their treatment/ investigation appointments to/ from the relevant department such as Operation Theater, Radiology, Physiotherapy or Clinic etc
• Perform dispatch role; transport/ collect medications. Lab specimens, documents or equipment etc. from/ to various departments in the hospital such as Pharmacy, Laboratory, Supplies Store or Administrative Office etc
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, staff and hospital information; uphold integrity, observe sensitivity of information; share only with those authorized
• Keeps current with skills and knowledge by attending relevant training, workshop, talks and seminars related to work responsibilities

Job Requirements:

• Male preferred
• Minimum SPM
• Must be willing to work in the Daycare/Central Sterile Service/Operation Theater/Emergency/ Surgical Ward/ Medical Ward department
• Must be willing to work in Masai, Johor
• Not smoking/vaping
• Healthy & fit (no major health issues)
• Good interpersonal skill and communication
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Can communicate in Bahasa Malaysia & English well

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
