Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and professional front-desk experience
• Critical thinker; schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Verify insurance eligibility and process authorizations for podiatric services
• Collect co-pays, process payments, and manage patient billing inquiries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers and external healthcare teams
• Answer a multi-line phone system and respond to patient inquiries promptly

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or patient-facing administrative role
• Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical office procedures
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
• A team player to take on tasks and grow with the role.
