We are a leading private eye clinic based in Central London, specialising in laser eye surgery, lens replacement surgery and specialist ophthalmic treatments.

We are committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience, combining outstanding clinical care with a professional, personal and supportive service throughout every stage of the patient journey.

We are looking for a confident, motivated and commercially minded Patient Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, building relationships and working towards clear goals.

The role combines patient coordination, customer service and sales. You will play an important part in converting enquiries into consultations, following up with prospective patients and helping patients feel confident about taking the next step towards their treatment.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, persuasive without being pushy, confident on the telephone and motivated to achieve results while always putting the patient first.*

The Role

As a Patient Coordinator, you will manage patient enquiries and support prospective patients throughout their decision-making journey, from their first point of contact through to consultation and surgery.

Your responsibilities will include:

- *Managing new enquiries and generating bookings: Responding promptly to telephone, email and other patient enquiries, maximising opportunities to book consultations.

- *Converting enquiries into consultations: Building rapport, understanding patients' needs and communicating the benefits of arranging an assessment.

- *Following up prospective patients: Proactively contacting patients after their consultation, answering questions and helping them progress towards treatment.

- *Supporting treatment decisions: Providing clear, accurate information about our treatments, prices, finance options and patient journey, within the scope of your training.

- *Driving patient engagement: Maintaining regular, professional follow-ups with prospective patients who are considering treatment.

- *Managing the patient pipeline: Keeping accurate records of enquiries, consultations, follow-ups, outcomes and outstanding actions.

- *Re-engaging previous enquiries: Contacting patients who have not yet booked or proceeded with treatment and identifying opportunities to reconnect.

- *Booking appointments and surgery: Coordinating consultations, surgery dates and follow-up appointments, ensuring patients are guided through the process efficiently.

- *Delivering an excellent patient experience: Building trust, addressing concerns professionally and ensuring patients feel informed and supported.

- *Coordinating pre-operative administration: Completing relevant checks and ensuring patients are appropriately prepared for surgery.

- *Working towards performance targets: Contributing to consultation booking rates, enquiry conversion, follow-up activity and overall clinic performance.

- *Working closely with the clinical team: Liaising with surgeons, clinicians and colleagues to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated patient journey.

- Maintaining accurate patient records: Ensuring all patient communications, outcomes and relevant information are documented appropriately.

What We're Looking For

- Motivated by achieving targets and improving conversion rates.

- Proactive in following up leads and ensuring opportunities are not missed.

- Organised, disciplined and able to manage multiple enquiries at different stages.

- Confident handling questions, concerns and objections professionally.

- Commercially aware, with an understanding of the importance of responsiveness and follow-through.

- Detail-oriented, with strong administrative and computer skills.

- Professional, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

- Committed to delivering an excellent patient experience while maintaining ethical, patient-centred communication.
