What they need
PATIENT EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR / PATIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER
Recruitment Advertisement - Multi-Specialty Dental Organization
THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL RECEPTIONIST POSITION
Del Rey Dental is building a high-touch, multi-specialty dental organization focused on exceptional patient experience, advanced care and disciplined operating systems. We are looking for the person who becomes the patient’s administrative account owner from first contact through treatment completion.
This position is best suited for someone looking for a long-term professional home, increasing responsibility, and an opportunity to grow with the organization—not someone simply looking for their next front-desk job.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Phones and patient communication.
- Scheduling, confirmations, recall and reactivation.
- Check-in and check-out.
- Patient file and data integrity.
- Patient handoffs between clinical, Treatment Coordination and centralized billing.
- Follow-up on unresolved patient needs.
- Referral and review opportunities.
- Schedule awareness and patient flow.
- CRM/PMS tasks and follow-through.
- Routine payment collection.
WHO WE WANT
- Someone patients naturally trust.
- Extremely organized and dependable.
- Strong on the phone.
- Comfortable working from defined systems.
- Someone who finishes assignments without being chased.
- Dental/healthcare experience preferred; exceptional hospitality, medical concierge or account-management candidates considered.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong digital proficiency required. Comfortable working daily in practice-management software, CRM systems, Microsoft 365, digital communications, task-management tools, and automated workflows; able to learn new software quickly and maintain accurate patient data.
· Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in a fast-paced professional/service environment.
· 1+ year dental front-office or patient coordination experience strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated reliability, organization and follow-through are more important than dental tenure alone.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
· Patient responsiveness and satisfaction.
· Schedule accuracy and follow-through.
· Complete and accurate patient records.
· Recall and reactivation results.
· Referral and review opportunities.
· Assigned tasks completed accurately and on time without repeated management follow-up.
COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY
- Suggested recruiting range: $23-$28/hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability.
- Performance bonus opportunity tied to patient experience, schedule integrity, data quality, reactivation/referrals and opportunity generation.
- Career path: Senior Patient Account Manager -> Treatment Coordinator / Team Lead -> Facility Operations track.
- Full-time, on-site role in San Diego.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You are not simply answering phones. You are managing relationships. Every patient should know who is helping them, what happens next, and who owns the next action. We are building the systems, technology and training to make that possible.
HOW TO APPLY
We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail and follows through. Please do not submit only a resume.
Along with your resume, include a short response answering the following:
Why does this position interest you, and why are you considering leaving your current or most recent employer?
Describe one system you personally use to make sure assignments, patient follow-ups, or deadlines don't get forgotten.

What is the longest you have worked for one employer during the past five years?
At the end of your response, include the words “Patient First.”
Applications that do not include these responses will not be considered.
