Patient Service Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Patient Service Coordinator to join our retina team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care. Managing patient registration, and post visit coordination. Insurance verification, referral management. Manages general clerical duties, records, and front-office correspondence.

Duties

• Handles front-desk intake, check-ins, registration, co-pay collection, and basic scheduling.

Requirements

• 1-2 years prior experience as a Patient Service Coordinator is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health insurance is required for this position.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR management systems and Microsoft
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to the eye preferred
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and professionalism.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education:
