Patient Service Representative

Role Overview Seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in a busy cardiology practice.

Responsibilities include managing front desk operations, greeting patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, updating patient records, and maintaining confidentiality.

Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow, organize medical documents, and keep the waiting area comfortable.

Accurately enter data into electronic health records (EHR), handle patient concerns empathetically, and ensure privacy compliance such as HIPAA.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical office certification is a plus.
• Experience as a receptionist or in healthcare customer service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, scheduling software, and EHR systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Empathetic, professional demeanor, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Athena software is preferred.
