Patient Service Representative (PSR)

Location: Children's Hospital, St. Louis, MO

Pay Rate: $20–$24/hour

Employment Type: PRN

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and professional Patient Service Representative (PSR) to support patient services in a healthcare setting in St. Louis, MO.

The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of medical or healthcare experience and working knowledge of Epic. The PSR will serve as a primary point of contact for patients and assist with registration, scheduling, patient information, and other administrative responsibilities while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients professionally and courteously. Register and check patients in and outSchedule and coordinate patient appointmentsVerify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiriesMaintain accurate patient information and documentation using

Epic

Assist with medical records and other administrative duties as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and other healthcare team membersMaintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Perform other patient service and front-office duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of medical or healthcare experience – REQUIRED. Knowledge of and experience using Epic – REQUIREDPrevious experience as a Patient Service Representative, Patient Access Representative, Medical Receptionist, or similar healthcare administrative role preferred. Strong communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Comfortable working directly with patients and healthcare professionalsBasic computer and data-entry skills. High school diploma or equivalent required

Compensation & Employment

Pay: $20–$24 per hour
