Patient Services Representative

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance information, and ensuring a positive and efficient clinic experience from check-in to check-out. Your professionalism and efficiency will contribute significantly to enhancing patient satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Check patients in and out, update demographics, and verify insurance information.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances.
• Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, recalls, and patient education sessions.
• Maintain provider schedules and support clinic workflow.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately.
• Process incoming faxes, patient correspondence, and medical records.
• Complete end-of-day administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR); Epic preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines preferred.
