At Rua Seguridad Corp., we are committed to creating a professional and supportive workplace where employees are valued and empowered to succeed.
What We Offer

- Supportive team culture with training provided
- Generous annual leave and holiday entitlements
- Comprehensive health and life insurance coverage

About the Role
This is a technical, field-focused role that combines pavement preservation engineering with defined quality-control responsibilities.
You will serve as a technical resource for DPWH District Engineering Offices, contractors, utilities, and other road stakeholders. You will assess pavement conditions, identify likely causes of distress, recommend appropriate maintenance or preservation treatments, support field trials and applications, and translate field experience into practical standards and technical guidance.
You will also perform defined quality checks and field inspections for Pavement Preservation & Bitumen products, working within Rua's Quality and QMS standards.
This is not a generic QC inspector role and not a sales engineer role. We are looking for an engineer who can provide objective technical recommendations, work confidently in the field, communicate with technical audiences, and maintain strong quality discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Pavement Preservation & Technical Engineering
- Diagnose pavement distress and identify likely root causes based on actual field conditions.
- Recommend appropriate pavement maintenance and preservation treatments based on technical suitability, constructability, durability, and lifecycle considerations.
- Provide technical support for pavement preservation products through site assessments, field trials, application guidance, troubleshooting, and post-application follow-up.
- Develop practical decision guides covering common pavement distress types, treatment options, limitations, and application requirements.
- Conduct and document field pilots to validate preservation treatments under Philippine road conditions.
- Translate field findings into technical recommendations, standards, case studies, and best practices.
Quality & Technical Controls
- Perform defined sampling, testing, inspection, and quality-control activities for Pavement Preservation & Bitumen products and selected field applications.
- Maintain accurate test records, traceability, inspection documentation, and quality reports.
- Identify and escalate nonconformances through the appropriate Quality/QMS process.
- Help develop method statements, application SOPs, inspection checklists, acceptance criteria, technical bulletins, and troubleshooting guides.
- Maintain clear separation between technical development activities and independent commercial quality-control and disposition processes.
Technical Training & Customer Support
- Develop and deliver technical talks, workshops, seminars, toolbox talks, and training sessions for DPWH engineers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams.
- Conduct field demonstrations and explain proper application methods and limitations.
- Build credibility with technical audiences through practical, evidence-based recommendations.
- Respond to technical concerns and ensure field cases are properly documented, followed through, and closed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Technical & Engineering, Pavement Preservation & Bitumen Solutions, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality/QMS.
- Provide technical input to product, process, and category decisions based on field evidence.
- Share customer and field insights that can improve products, applications, standards, and training materials.
- Help build Rua's technical knowledge base for pavement preservation.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed Civil Engineer, Materials Engineer, or graduate of a closely relevant engineering discipline.
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in road engineering, asphalt, pavement maintenance/rehabilitation, materials testing, construction QA/QC, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience identifying pavement distress and recommending practical maintenance or preservation treatments.
- Good understanding of asphalt materials and road maintenance practices.
- Experience with quality-control processes, including sampling, testing, acceptance criteria, traceability, documentation, and nonconformance handling.
- Comfortable working on actual road sites and interacting with engineers, contractors, field crews, and customers.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly for field work, customer visits, technical training, and project activities nationwide.
