Pavements Analyst

GeoSolve Limited is a specialist consultancy company providing professional engineering services in the fields of Geotechnical, Civil, Water Resources and Pavements.

Our pavements division is the largest roading survey group in New Zealand working on NZTA highways and local authority roads, airports and ports. Our team is rapidly growing from national to international projects, including research, development and implementation of new technologies for testing pavements.

We are looking for a suitably qualified pavement analyst to work in the GeoSolve Pavement Division based in our South Auckland office. This is a full-time position based in Pukekohe Auckland.

As our new Pavements Analyst, you’ll be responsible for:

• Working under a Senior Pavements Engineer based remotely

• Using in-house developed software and reporting issues to the development team

• Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS) data processing and reporting

• Quality Assurance of data outputs, including event coding and lane verification

• Distresses rating for Pavement Condition Index (PCI) using LCMS images to edit/add surface distresses

On-the-job training will be provided in order to become proficient in the role.

The following attributes would be preferable pre-requisites:

• Proficient in the use of spreadsheets (eg Excel)

• Proficient in the use of GIS packages (eg QGIS)

• At least 2 years of experience

• A Civil Engineering degree

• Experience of pavement distresses rating or visual surveys

• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
