Payloader Operator

About the role

This role involves operating payloaders to manage cullet and raw materials throughout the washing and processing cycle, including loading unwashed cullet for weighing, supplying cullet to the infeed hopper, loading washed cullet post-processing, and stockpiling bulk raw materials in warehouses. You will also maintain equipment through routine cleaning, checks, and assist with repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Load unwashed cullet to the dump truck for weighing before cullet washing
• Supply unwashed cullet to the infeed hopper for cullet washing
• Load washed cullet to the dump truck for weighing after cullet washing
• Stockpile bulk raw materials in their respective warehouses
• Load all raw materials to their respective hoppers
• Wash and clean payloaders as scheduled
• Perform routine checks of payloaders
• Assist the equipment mechanic in payloader repair, greasing, and vulcanizing flat tires
• Perform other tasks assigned by the RBF Shift Supervisor

About you

• Technical/Vocational graduate
• Experience in payloader operation
• Knowledge of heavy equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of hand tools and preventive maintenance
• Able to operate safely and perform routine checks of equipment
• Preferably NCII holder
