Role Summary:
Responsible for end-to-end production operations of payment applications, focusing on application health, automation, incident response, and continuous improvement. Works closely with cross-functional teams and participates in a formal on-call rotation supporting Tier-1 payment platforms.

What Youll Do:

• Own application-layer health, performance, and capacity for assigned production services
• Manage deployment, release, and maintenance-window changes for owned services
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability coverage
• Automate patching, maintenance, and certificate lifecycle management
• Participate in on-call rotation for Tier-1 payment platforms
• Drive incident response, remediation, and root cause analysis for owned services
• Develop operational tooling and integrations using scripting/programming languages
• Maintain accurate runbooks, documentation, and provide operational reporting
• Support compliance activities including PCI audits and evidence gathering

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):

• Experience as an Application Infrastructure Operations Engineer
• Proficiency in Linux, load balancing, patching, Kubernetes, and ITIL
• Hands-on automation of patch and maintenance workflows in production environments
• Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, AppDynamics, or Splunk
• Participation in formal on-call rotations for 24/7 service environments
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, Go, TypeScript, or similar)
• Experience with release management, change management, and incident management processes
• Working understanding of TLS certificates, PKI, network topology, load balancers, and firewalls
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):

• Windows & Linux Administration
• Background in payment processing, card payments, or financial services infrastructure
• Depth in both Kubernetes and Helm or Windows/SQL Server at scale
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent)
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Knowledge of PCI compliance and audit processes
• Experience with centralised logging (Splunk, ELK), HSMs, or CyberArk
• Experience building tooling on top of large language model APIs
• Prior contribution to internal developer platforms or shared engineering tooling

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
