Payment Operations Analyst

Location: Montreal, QC

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Various Shifts Available)

About the Role

We are looking for a Payment Operations Analyst to support USD and CAD payment processing activities within a leading international banking environment. This position will focus on payment investigations, client support, wire transfers, reporting, data analysis, and operational risk management while ensuring excellent service delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve payment and wire transfer issues.
• Support clients with USD and CAD payment processing inquiries.
• Monitor payment activity and ensure transactions are processed accurately.
• Review SWIFT messages, wire transfers, and operational reports.
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Analyze operational data and prepare client and management reports.
• Track KPIs and service levels to improve operational efficiency.
• Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and banking regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in Banking Operations, Payment Operations, Cash Management, or Correspondent Banking.
• Knowledge of wire transfers, SWIFT payments, and clearing systems.
• Experience with payment investigations and transaction processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• English language proficiency required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within a large financial institution.
• Knowledge of USD clearing operations.
• Reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis experience.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and payment operations controls.
