Duties

• Process a high volume of payments, trade settlements, and cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor and detect potential fraud activities using fraud prevention and detection techniques to safeguard assets.
• Ensure compliance with securities law, financial regulations, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
• Reconcile accounts using spreadsheets, pivot tables, and Excel data analysis tools to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams on business operations, client communication, and internal reporting to streamline payment workflows.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions within SQL databases and financial software systems for audit readiness.
• Support regulatory reporting processes by preparing accurate documentation aligned with governmental accounting standards and industry knowledge of financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting, finance, or banking environments with a focus on payment processing or trade settlement.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as fixed income markets, investment management, cash management, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel (pivot tables), spreadsheets, and financial software applications.
• Knowledge of industry regulations including securities law, banking regulatory compliance, and financial regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with SQL databases for data extraction and analysis is preferred.
• Excellent internal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets using Excel data analysis techniques for accurate decision-making.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
