Payment Processor

Payment Processor, Bankruptcy Reporting (Full-Time, Onsite, Non-Exempt)

Becket & Lee LLP, a respected leader in the bankruptcy community, is seeking a payment processor to assist with the processing, invoicing and auditing of payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards. This position offers a fast-paced team atmosphere with the opportunity to develop and expand your problem-solving skills and overall knowledge of bankruptcy.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling payments, research discrepancies and maintain detailed records to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and process daily deposits and validate deposit amounts
• Auditing payment transactions, deposits and related records to verify accuracy
• Mail Sorting and Processing
• Review and analyze credit balance accounts
• Refund Processing
• Preparing and distribute of client invoices
• Other related duties may be assigned by supervisor(s), manager(s), and/or Partner(s)

Qualifications

• Reasonable proficiency with math, such as calculating percentages, pro-rata distributions, etc.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multi-task and quickly upskill
• Strong acumen towards accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated aptitude working both independently and within a team
• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
• Computer proficiency, including strong keyboarding and basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Financial or Banking/Teller experience helpful, but not required
