Our busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced, full-time Payment Processor to join our team at our Providence location on Airport Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with medical office experience who enjoys working in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and post a high volume of payments.

• Review and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and Explanations of Payment (EOPs) from various insurance payers.

• Reconcile payments and identify discrepancies to ensure accurate posting.

• Apply basic accounting principles to daily payment processing.

• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve payment-related questions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of payment processing experience in a physician’s office or accounting office.

• Medical office experience.

• Proficiency in interpreting EOBs/EOPs and reconciling payments.

• Understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to manage high-volume posting with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
