Payment Solutions Consultant

Duration: 8-month full-time contract

We’re looking for a Payment Solutions Consultant to join a leading global payments organisation and help deliver digital payment solutions across Australia & New Zealand.

This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role where you’ll work with merchants, PSPs, acquirers and internal product/engineering teams to deliver solutions across Click to Pay, Token Authentication and Secure Card on File. You’ll be involved throughout the customer journey, from discovery and solution design through technical integration, testing and go-live.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with merchants, PSPs and acquiring partners
• Assess client environments and recommend the right integration approach
• Support end-to-end payment implementations from discovery to go-live
• Troubleshoot REST APIs, JavaScript and SDK integrations
• Work with clients and UX/UI teams to optimise checkout and payment flows
• Partner with engineering and product teams to resolve technical issues
• Support IAT, certification and production readiness
• Provide technical guidance across frontend and backend integrations

Required Skills

• Experience with merchant checkout and digital payment implementations
• Background in Solutions Consulting, Technical Consulting, Solutions Architecture or Presales Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs and JavaScript/SDK integrations
• Experience taking client integrations from discovery → design → implementation → go-live
• Understanding of authentication, tokenisation and payment security
• Strong client-facing communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payment gateways such as Stripe, Adyen, Braintree or similar is highly desirable
• Exposure to Click to Pay, digital wallets or the broader payments ecosystem is a plus
