Payment Specialist

Payments Specialist to support the end-to-end cash disbursement process within a global shared-service environment. You will help ensure that payments are prepared and executed accurately, on time and in accordance with internal controls, treasury rules and regulatory requirements.

• Manage the complete payment preparation and execution lifecycle.
• Process multi-entity payment runs through SAP according to agreed schedules and guidelines.
• Ensure payments are executed using the correct payment method, run date, value date and due date.
• Investigate and resolve unpaid items, excluded payment proposals, returned payments and unallocated amounts.
• Work closely with Cash Management to support liquidity and forecasting targets.
• Respond to payment-related queries and provide second-level support to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain payment evidence and audit-relevant documentation.
• Monitor service levels, payment accuracy and process-specific KPIs.
• Identify recurring issues and support the implementation of permanent solutions.
• Challenge manual processes and exceptions while promoting automation and straight-through processing.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives and the development of user manuals, FAQs and knowledge materials.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
