JC Sports runs school sports clubs, wraparound care and holiday camps for hundreds of families across the South. We're looking for an experienced, organised Payment Coordinator to take ownership of our parent payments and make sure every booking is paid for on time, while keeping families happy.

If you've worked in credit control, accounts receivable or a busy payments role and you're great at friendly but firm conversations, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Managing parent payments for clubs, wraparound care and holiday camps, which is the core of the role
• Monitoring accounts daily and chasing overdue balances by email, phone and text
• Running a clear, consistent reminder process and escalating persistent non-payment
• Setting up and managing payment plans for families who need them
• Handling failed payments, refunds, credits and booking changes
• Applying Tax-Free Childcare, childcare vouchers and other funding to the right accounts
• Raising invoices for schools and chasing them to agreed terms
• Reconciling payments against bookings and the bank each week
• Being the main point of contact for parents' payment and billing queries
• Producing a regular aged debt report and suggesting ways to reduce late payment

What you'll need

• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections or a similar payments role
• Confidence handling sensitive money conversations calmly and fairly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Good IT skills, including spreadsheets, booking systems or CRMs, and accounting software
• An organised approach and the ability to manage a daily workload independently
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check

Nice to have

• A credit control or accounting qualification (e.g. CICM or AAT)
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
• Experience in childcare, education, leisure or another family-facing business
• Knowledge of Tax-Free Childcare and childcare voucher schemes
