What they need

We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us! As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together. The role The Payments Operations Analyst will support the Payments Operations team by focusing on the technical configuration and operational stability of our payment processing platforms in the UK, EU, and AU regions. This role is heavily focused on merchant account configurations with our payment processors, transitioning the team away from manual merchant setup processes toward automated programmatic onboarding.

The Payments Operations Analyst will work closely with both the Manager and Head of Payment Operations to ensure the smooth operation of payment systems, facilitate rapid geographic expansion, and assist in the resolution of payment-related system issues.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end configuration and setup of new merchant accounts, specifically across Adyen and global gateway platforms.
  • Monitor and manage reserve account funding mechanisms within Adyen and other payment processors to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily processing activities, including processing refunds and supporting Arrive-for-Business (A4B) payment flows.
  • Serve as a operational contact for external payment processors, including PayPal and American Express. Execute initiatives to audit, clean up, and consolidate account management and ownership structures, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational transparency across global markets.
  • Analyze payment data to monitor performance and identify inefficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement in payment flows.
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports on payment operations, providing actionable insights to optimize payment performance.
  • Support incident resolution efforts by investigating payment routing errors and outages, monitoring gateway failovers and API certificate expiration timelines, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to identify root causes.
  • Maintain and update payment operational documentation, including standardized merchant onboarding templates, configuration workflows, and system changes.
  • Provide ad-hoc configuration and support for US payment-related infrastructure projects, working closely with the Payment Operations team to ensure operational efficiency during rapid deployment of new pay stations and mobile zones.

Your background

  • 3–5+ years of progressive professional experience in Payments Operations, Technical Account Management, Payments Application Support, or a similar operational role focused on payment processing and merchant configurations.
  • Deep domain expertise in the payments ecosystem, with strong knowledge of payment gateways, merchant account architectures, funding flows, and transaction processing workflows.
  • Hands-on experience navigating and configuring complex payment processor portals (specifically Adyen, PayPal, Amex, or CyberSource), with a strong understanding of API-driven merchant onboarding and automated frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving system-level payment issues, such as routing errors, gateway failovers, API certificate expirations, and account configuration discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners across Operations, Implementation, Product, external analytics partners, and vendor/processor relationship teams.
