Payments Operations Analyst

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Payments Operations Analyst for a consulting opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Support a remediation effort across ACH, debit card, wire, P2P, and electronic payment operations.
• Review dispute processes, including intake, investigation, provisional credit, notifications, escalations, and case closure.
• Analyze transaction and dispute data to identify exceptions, control gaps, customer impact, and recurring defects.
• Reconcile impacted populations and validate remediation results.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in fraud operations, payment operations, disputes, operational risk, compliance, or banking remediation.
• Hands-on experience with ACH, wires, debit cards, or other electronic payments.
• Exposure to Excel and payments operating systems.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
