Payroll Admin

Our client is a well-known, ASX-listed mining company with a strong presence across Western Australia. Due to an upcoming period of leave within their payroll team, they are seeking a Payroll Officer to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their payroll career, or a Finance/Accounts Officer looking to make the move into payroll, to gain hands-on experience within a large, high-volume, well-structured payroll function.

About the Role
Reporting into an experienced payroll team, you'll support the end-to-end payroll process across a large employee base, gaining exposure to a fast-paced, corporate payroll environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the processing and administration of end-to-end payroll
• Data entry and maintenance of employee payroll records
• Responding to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely, professional manner
• Supporting timesheet processing and reconciliations
• Assisting with new starters, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes
• Supporting month-end payroll tasks and reporting
• Working closely with the broader payroll and finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance

About You

• Exposure to SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of payroll legislation
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with initiative and meet strict deadlines
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Current C Class Drivers Licence
