What they need

About the Opportunity

A well-established global organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join its Finance team. This is a confidential search. In this role, you will facilitate the payroll process for the US and other countries as assigned, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for employees. This is an individual-contributor position reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, ideal for a payroll professional who thrives on precision, confidentiality, and reliable execution around the payroll cycle.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and process semi-monthly domestic (US) payroll.
  • Monitor and enforce non-exempt timekeeping policies.
  • Monitor and enforce paid time off submissions and approvals.
  • Aggregate and process supplemental pay data.
  • Liaise with international and domestic HR teams to facilitate monthly payroll processing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot state and local tax registrations and related issues.
  • Stay current on payroll systems to maintain alignment with HR, benefits, and related functions, and to ensure effective accounting support.
  • Interface with employees to answer all payroll-related questions.
  • Process payment of all leaves of absence in compliance with applicable LOA laws — including California's Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) — and company policy, based on information received from HR.
  • Ensure new employees are paid based on pro-rata calculation where applicable.
  • Ensure California-based employees' final paychecks are issued in accordance with the law and company policy, including all final regular wages, paid time off buyout, and any supplemental pay owed.
  • Ensure non-California employees' final checks are issued in accordance with the law and company policy, including regular wages, any supplemental wages, and paid time off buyout (paid in the pay date following the final regular earnings check, as defined by state law).
  • Prepare and issue manual checks as needed.
  • Provide assistance with international payrolls as needed to the Global Payroll Manager and international HR teams.
  • Run various audit reports throughout the payroll cycle to review HRIS updates and prevent overpayments.
  • Complete ad hoc reporting as required.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience (multi-state experience preferred).
  • Ceridian Dayforce experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Competencies & Personal Attributes

  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of reliability, confidentiality, and excellent work habits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and operate around the payroll cycle schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and perform self-checks and work-review procedures.

Why Apply

This is an opportunity to join a well-established global organization where your precision and diligence directly support the people who make the business run. You will work alongside collaborative Finance and HR teams, gain exposure to multi-country payroll operations, and play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
