About Switch

At Switch, we don't just design, build and operate data centers—we are enabling the technology of the future. Led by Founder & CEO, Rob Roy, we believe in revolutionary innovation, operational excellence and the principle of karma. Switch is where talented people come together to EVOLVE the digital world.

We believe that innovation isn't just about technology—it's about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world's most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Payroll Administrator Contractor

As a Payroll Administrator Contractor, you will support accurate and timely payroll processing for Switch employees across the United States. This is a hands-on contractor role responsible for payroll processing, validation, reconciliation, issue resolution, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

This role is based in Las Vegas, Nevada and is expected to work onsite 2 days per week.

The role requires direct experience working in the UKG payroll module and the ability to independently research and resolve payroll discrepancies. Experience with the Oracle payroll module is preferred and will support Switch's payroll operations and evolving payroll technology environment.

What You'll Do

  • Process and validate payroll transactions to support accurate and timely payroll delivery.

  • Review employee changes, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other payroll inputs for accuracy.

  • Perform payroll audits and reconciliations and correct identified discrepancies.

  • Research and resolve payroll errors, employee pay questions, and processing exceptions.

  • Maintain payroll-related employee data, records, and supporting documentation within UKG.

  • Prepare payroll reports and review payroll interfaces and data files for accuracy and completeness.

  • Partner with People Services, Total Rewards, Finance, HR, and other internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues.

  • Support payroll testing, system enhancements, data validation, and process changes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, controls, consistency, and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • You consistently produce accurate work and understand the importance of payroll deadlines.

  • You identify discrepancies and investigate issues through resolution rather than simply reporting them.

  • You work independently and know when an issue requires escalation.

  • You organize detailed work effectively and manage multiple payroll deadlines and priorities.

  • You communicate clearly with employees and internal business partners when resolving payroll questions.

  • You handle employee and payroll information with appropriate confidentiality and discretion.

  • You follow established payroll controls and procedures while identifying opportunities to improve processes.

  • You adapt effectively as payroll processes, systems, and business requirements change.

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 3+ years experience administering or processing payroll for a U.S. employee population.

  • Hands-on experience using the UKG payroll module.

  • Experience performing payroll processing, audits, reconciliations, and validation.

  • Working knowledge of payroll earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other common payroll transactions.

  • Experience researching and resolving payroll discrepancies and employee pay issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with high-volume payroll data.

  • Experience working with confidential employee and payroll information.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience using the Oracle payroll module, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll.

  • Experience supporting payroll system implementations, testing, conversions, or system enhancements.

  • Experience supporting multi-state payroll.

  • Experience working in a large, complex, multi-site, or rapidly growing organization.
