What they need
Everyone notices payroll when it's wrong. We're interested in what happens when it's right.
As our Payroll & Compensation Manager, you'll wear many hats: Team Coach, Systems Expert, Integration Master, Process Improver, Remuneration Advisor, Salary Review Guru, Superannuation Specialist, and trusted Payroll SME.
The good news? Our experienced Payroll Team already has the weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles through iChris running smoothly. Your focus will be on leading the function forward and taking payroll and remuneration practices to the next level.
The Role - You'll lead the payroll function across Oceania, but not in the traditional "make sure payroll runs" sense.
You'll:
- Step in when a payroll issue lands in the too-hard basket
- Keep finding smarter ways to do things across systems, processes and reporting
- Lead payroll-related integrations, enhancements and projects
- Partner with our Global team on annual remuneration reviews
- Develop a payroll team that needs leadership, not supervision
- Manage bonus processes, salary benchmarking and compensation activities
- Can translate payroll legislation, systems and technical jargon into plain English
What you'll bring
- Significant payroll leadership experience in a large multinational and complex organisation
- Strong iChris experience (or expertise in a comparable payroll platform)
- Experience managing system integrations, upgrades or transformations
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing change constructively
- Ability to coach, support, develop and enable the Payroll Team
- Strong remuneration and compensation knowledge, including salary reviews and market benchmarking
