Payroll Clerk

Job Summary:

The Payroll Clerk is a fast-paced and dynamic regular full-time employment position. This position will perform payroll functions for clients by ensuring payrolls are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This position will process payrolls, verify and remit monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax payments and applicable forms in addition to various other withholdings and employee benefits related to payroll. This position requires meeting daily deadlines, attention to detail, and managing a detailed schedule. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position can start on a part-time basis and transition into a full-time position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Review and process payroll items to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions,

· Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates,

· Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions,

· Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices,

· Occasionally work overtime hours,

· Perform other duties required for a functioning office setting.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 – 40.0 per week
