Payroll Clerk

Abacus Solutions Group is looking for a Payroll Clerk. This is a long-term contract position looking to start ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Computing wages based on time worked, salary, bonuses, and commissions, while also handling tax calculations, payroll expenses, garnishments, and adjustments.
• Calculate employee compensation based on time worked, salary, bonuses, and commissions.
• Compute and process payroll taxes and related expenses.
• Handle garnishments, deductions, and payroll adjustments in accordance with legal and company policies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience within payroll.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and translating Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and payroll software.
• Understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage calculations.
