Payroll Coordinator

This is a full time position, 40 hours, located at the casino payroll department, that is responsible for assisting employees in following the payroll policies for advances; generate, verify and distribute weekly payroll checks and payroll advances for the Island Resort and Casino and occasionally at other tribal enterprises; complete daily payroll checklist to ensure accurate and timely payroll distribution; generate, distribute and correct daily/weekly time card status reports; input and reconcile daily tips and employee payroll deductions, including but not limited to: health insurance, voluntary benefits, garnishments, friend of the court, rent, 401(k), direct deposit, and payroll advances, etc; verify employee accrual and current balances for paid time off plans. Associates degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university; 1-2 years computerized payroll/accounting experience; must have knowledge of and be proficient in Windows based Payroll Software and Microsoft office software applications such as Excel and Word; must have knowledge of Federal and State laws as they apply to payroll and benefits; and must have knowledge of or obtain knowledge of Payroll and HRIS systems.
