Responsibilities

• Process accurate, timely multi-frequency and multistate payrolls in a large union environment.
• Audit and reconcile HR/payroll data, integrations, and bank files; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax, wage-and-hour, and multistate taxation requirements.
• Process employee garnishments and provide compliant setup and support.
• Prepare ad hoc payroll reports, respond to employee inquiries, and support payroll accounting, SOX compliance, and special projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between HR policies and payroll, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills; able to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
