What they need

About the Role

PBS Advisory (Puchong) Sdn Bhd is expanding its payroll outsourcing services and is looking for an experienced and self-driven Payroll Executive / Senior Payroll Executive to manage our monthly client payroll portfolio.

This is a newly created role with significant growth potential. You will initially take ownership of payroll processing and statutory compliance for our existing clients while helping management establish proper procedures, controls, and service standards.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, eager to learn independently, and able to stay informed about changes in Malaysian payroll regulations and government systems. As the client portfolio grows, a capable candidate will have the opportunity to progress into a leadership role, recruit and develop a team, and eventually oversee the payroll department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for multiple clients.
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, allowances, commissions, bonuses, claims, unpaid leave, deductions, and final payments.
  • Prepare payslips, payroll reports, bank payment files, and payroll-related accounting summaries.
  • Process and submit EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRD Corp levies, and other applicable statutory contributions.
  • Prepare annual payroll filings and documents, including Forms EA, E, and CP8D.
  • Manage employee registrations, new joiners, resignations, final salary calculations, and updates through the relevant statutory portals.
  • Communicate with clients to collect payroll information, confirm monthly changes, and resolve payroll-related queries.
  • Ensure payroll calculations and statutory submissions are accurate and completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper records of clients’ payroll information and supporting documents.
  • Stay updated on changes to Malaysian employment legislation, payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and government systems.
  • Independently research new or unfamiliar payroll matters and recommend appropriate action to management.
  • Develop payroll procedures, checklists, timelines, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to payroll software, systems, automation, and client service workflows.
  • Support the growth of the payroll service portfolio and participate in recruiting and training future team members.
  • Perform other payroll, human resources administration, and ad hoc assignments as required.

Key Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Malaysian payroll processing.
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience handling payroll for multiple companies or clients is strongly preferred.
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong practical knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRD Corp, Forms EA, E and CP8D.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian employment legislation and online government portals.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and willing to independently research and learn new payroll requirements and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, problem-solving ability, and time-management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple client deadlines and payroll schedules simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in dealing directly with clients and government authorities.
  • Leadership potential and an interest in building and developing a payroll team.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred, as the role involves communicating with Chinese-speaking clients.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month

Benefits:
