Payroll Manager

Job Summary

The TACT Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the company’s payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain employee payroll records, oversee payroll compliance, and work closely with HR and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee biweekly or monthly payroll processing.
• Review payroll data, timesheets, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance regarding employee compensation and payroll changes.
• Monitor payroll procedures and recommend process improvements.
• Assist with payroll audits and year-end reporting.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and compensation information.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll or payroll management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll practices and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience with ADP, Paychex, Workday, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar systems.
• CPP or FPC certification is a plus.
• Experience managing payroll for a multi-state workforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $42.71 - $51.44 per hour
