Payroll Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure seamless compensation processing across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee payroll systems, maintain compliance with labor and tax laws, and collaborate with HR and finance teams to deliver accurate and timely payroll services. The Payroll Manager will play a pivotal role in managing confidential information, optimizing payroll processes, and supporting the organization’s commitment to employee satisfaction and legal compliance.

Duties

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, benefits, and taxes using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
• Manage payroll data entry, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and preparation of journal entries related to payroll transactions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and tax legislation by staying current on updates to payroll-related legal requirements.
• Administer benefits programs, including benefits administration and integration with HRIS systems.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to handle employee onboarding, terminations, and changes affecting payroll records.
• Conduct analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or errors; perform account reconciliations; generate reports for management review.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing payroll records securely.

Skills

• Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, labor law compliance, tax law, and payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial concepts including general ledger accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
• Skilled in using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting; adept at data entry and reconciliation tasks.
• Familiarity with time & attendance systems and HRIS platforms for efficient payroll management.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity; excellent attention to detail in payroll processing.
• Strong analysis skills for identifying discrepancies; capable of performing account reconciliation and financial analysis related to payroll.
• Bilingual (spanish and english)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
