Payroll Manager

Job Advert Summary

Group of companies situated in Cape Town requires a skilled Payroll manager to manage full payroll and some accounting functions. The role includes processing payrolls, managing Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll and ensuring NBCRFI compliance

Minimum Requirements

2 yearsExperience in payroll administration (more than 500 staff) and accounting functions within the Temporary Employment Services (TES industry)

Knowledge of Sage Payroll, Sage Accounting and Excel

Understanding of the NBCRFI regulations and payroll legislation

Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time

Peocessing weekly payroll from raw timesheets

Ensure all payroll inputs, deductions and adjustments are correctly captured

Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations and salary changes

Perform reconciliations of payroll and accounting records to ensuring accuracy

Ensure compliance with the NBCRFI and other statutory requirements including submission of D-forms and SALT fund management

Assist with time management and workforce planning

Support colleagues and collaborate across the department to meet deadlines

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee financial information

Prepare and submit statutory returns and reports (EMP201, EMP501, IRP5s) accurately and on time

Manage and process customer and supplier invoices, payments and journal entries using Sage Accounting including banking allocations

Prepare and maintain accurate financial and payroll documentation for audits

Maintain and control PPE stock
