Payroll Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations with precision and integrity. Duties

• Manage the complete payroll cycle, including data entry, processing, and reconciliation using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
• Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll processing.
• Maintain and update employee records within HRIS platforms and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger accounting practices and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
• Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenses, tax filings, benefits administration, and labor law compliance for internal review.
• Collaborate with human resources to process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment accurately.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation related to payroll tax payments, account reconciliation, and financial concepts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll management with a strong understanding of payroll systems such as Workday, Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft.
• Extensive knowledge of employment laws, tax law, labor law compliance, and governmental accounting standards.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, accounting software (including QuickBooks), and financial analysis tools.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Background in corporate or non-profit accounting with expertise in accounts payable/receivable and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across HR and finance teams while managing multiple priorities.
