Payroll Officer / Auditor

Role Description The Payroll Officer / Auditor at Laboratório de Tratamento de Minérios (LTM) - UFMG will be responsible for overseeing and auditing payroll processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. This part-time remote role includes reviewing payroll records, validating calculations, and confirming adherence to institutional policies and applicable tax regulations. The role involves collaborating with finance and HR teams to resolve discrepancies, prepare audit reports, and recommend process improvements. The Payroll Officer / Auditor will maintain secure and confidential payroll data, support internal and external audits, and respond to payroll-related inquiries from stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Services to manage and review payroll operations effectively.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Payroll Taxes and relevant regulations to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Candidates should possess foundational Finance skills to interpret payroll data, support reconciliations, and assist with budgetary controls.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance on payroll matters.
• Candidates should have strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and a high level of integrity when handling confidential information.
• Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing time independently, and using digital tools for documentation and communication.
• A relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in payroll or audit roles is an advantage.
