Payroll Officer

MARS Recruitment is partnering with an ASX-listed company to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer for an initial 3-month contract. This is a good opportunity for someone with solid end-to-end payroll experience who can step into a busy finance team, pick things up quickly and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll
• Manage new starters, terminations, leave, payroll adjustments and employee enquiries
• Complete payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and payroll reporting
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in line with relevant legislation and awards
• Work closely with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll queries
• Assist with general finance administration and reconciliations as required

About You

• Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll
• Pronto experience is essential
• Good understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working to deadlines in a busy environment
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Available to commit to an initial 3-month contract
