Payroll Officer

The Opportunity
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised Payroll Officer to join one of New Zealand’s most successful organisations. You will be exposed to a large payroll function servicing New Zealand (North & South) with multiple sites.

Initially requiring support for around 6 months given the size of this organisation, there may be longer term opportunities. 

The Role

• Payroll processing for fortnightly payroll; various sites
• Maintaining accuracy across time & attendance/timesheets
• Set up of new employees in HRIS
• Ensuring complete legislative and employment agreement compliance
• Provide support to wider Payroll team
• Answer any Payroll related queries
• Ad-hoc Payroll admin tasks as required

Your Profile

• Available to start early October and can commit for 6+ months
• Payroll qualification and/or 2+ years’ experience in large, payroll settings
• Solid understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong data handling capabilities
• Ideally PayGlobal experience
• Exceptional accuracy, organisation and time-management abilities
• Strong communication skills
• An excellent work ethic and ability to contribute to the existing team
