Payroll Officer

About the role

Fresh Food Industries Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of FFI Holdings Limited (ASX: FFI), is seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. This role is offered on a part-time basis, working approximately 28-30 hours per week across 3-4 days.

Key responsibilities

• Process end-to-end weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and company policies
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and promptly resolve payroll-related queries
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and assist with statutory payroll compliance requirements
• Work closely with Finance and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to payroll processes and systems
• Manage the reconciliation and recovery of workers' compensation payments
• Assist with month-end accounting and finance activities as required

About you

• Previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing (minimum 5 years)
• Experience with payroll systems and accounting software (HR3 will be an advantage)
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team environment
